JEE Main Cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks to be secured by a candidate in an order to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2019. There are different cutoff for different categories. JEE Main Cutoff for the year 2019 will be released by National Testing Agency (NTA). The results for the January session of JEE Mains 2019 will be released in the first week of February 2019 and the result for the April session of the exam will be out in May 2019. The students will be able to check their JEE Mains result on the official website.
The JEE Main Cutoff varies from year to year. It is difficult to predict the exact cutoff for the exam. Students can expect the JEE Main cutoff to be similar to the previous year cutoff. JEE Main cutoff depends on various factors. Some of the factors which determine JEE Main cutoff are-

JEE Main Cutoff 2018
About 11.5 lakhs students appeared for JEE Main 2018 of which about 231024 candidates qualified for JEE Advanced. Out of these qualified students, 111275 were general candidates, 65313 were OBC-NCL candidates, 34425 were SC, 17256 were ST and 2755 were PWD candidates.

The above data shows that JEE Mains cutoff has reduced drastically between the year 2014 to 2018. However, these variations are dependent on the factors like the difficulty of the exam, the number of applicants, as already mentioned above. Looking at the previous trends of the JEE Main cutoff, students can expect the cutoff to be close to the last year cutoff or may be less than that.
It should be noted that the JEE Main cutoff is different from JEE Main Admission cut-off. JEE Main Admission cutoff is the minimum marks to be secured by a candidate for admission in JEE Main participating institutes including NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
